The Crow

The Crow
I've done a few articles on these now they're very popular, so thank you for your feedback. Please continue to like and share these videos. They're all about the symbols that we carry around on our person, whether they be tattoos or whether they be a necklace that we might wear, a bracelet or a ring, anything that we wear or we have inked on us, if you will. They empower us. They are obviously symbols that empower us. If they're Christians, that might be the cross, they see the cross, it empowers them for their faith, for their religion.

Other people, they may see another symbol that's universally quite negative for them like the Nazi swastika, for example. A lot of people will see that and it will conjure up very, very bad images for them of that symbol. Symbols are very, very powerful and the unconscious mind, the bit that we work within hypnosis, some people like to call it subconscious, works directly with symbols. Hence why it's so powerful to get that message from something like a cross or something as extreme as a swastika. You get that image, you get the information from it in just a split second of looking at it. It will make, either make you feel on top of the world and empowered or it will make you just feel terrible.

So symbols. And the ones that I specialize in these videos, at least, are symbols of tattoos. Now, some of us will get tattoos because they mean something to us, a significant part of our life. Whether it's at a time, an event, a date, whether that's a word, whether that's a picture, something that when we look at, when we see it, we remember, remember things, ideally, things that empower us. And my whole message is about empowering you.

So I recently got a new tattoo. I have become addicted to tattoos. I always knew that as soon as I broke that glass ceiling or that glass emergency alarm, if you will, that as soon as I broke it, as soon as the dam broke, so to speak, I won't be able to stop. So this is my fifth tattoo in eight months now, 37. So I waited till I was 37. So the tattoo I wanna share with you today, and please bear in mind, this is only a couple of days old, so it may be a little bit, what's the word I'm looking for? A little bit worse to wear because it can take for up to three or four weeks for the tattoo to completely heal. So please bear that in mind.

But my new tattoo, I'm gonna come a little bit closer to the camera. See if you can see it right there. And yeah, you might see some dry skin around it. I did just moisturize it for you guys. I don't know if you can see that though, but it's a crow, a crow. And it's from actually my favorite movie "The Crow" and I don't know if you've seen the movie "The Crow" but it actually was my favorite movie growing up, it's still my favorite movie now. It's actually perhaps the first modern superhero or comic book movie, if you will. It's very gothic, it's very action orientated, it's a great movie. And the actor who played the crow, Brandon Lee, you may know him as the son of Bruce Lee, unfortunately, passed away, died, while about halfway through filming this movie coincidentally making his breakthrough movie about 20 years almost to the day that his father, the late great Bruce Lee, had passed away, making his breakthrough Hollywood movie "Enter the Dragon."

So there's a lot of emotion that people have in this movie. And for me, even though it's a great action movie, and it's very gothic, and I love all that, at its undercurrent is it's a love story. It's about something so terrible happening to someone at the beginning of the movie, and I'm not gonna give it away if you haven't seen it, but I highly recommend it. That this person's soul cannot rest until they come and they right the wrongs that have happened. So when I see that movie it reminds me of things that I've gone through in my life that I've had to overcome, wrongs that I've had to right in order for me to transcend, to get peace in my life, to get to that next level. And really, at its deepest level this movie is actually a love story, it's about, "What would you do for love? What would you truly do for love? What would you go through for love, for a loved one? What would you do for love?" And that's what it always reminds me of. And it's a course, called A Course in Miracles out there, and it says, "There's only two true emotions in the world; fear, and love. And fear is just an illusion."

So really, everything we do, really, is for love at a deep level if you chunk up high enough. And that's what that movie is. And it could be love for a loved one, for a partner, husband/wife, boyfriend/girlfriend, a friend, a child, a family member. And it also could be love, that love that you have for yourself and the things that you need to settle in your own mind to love yourself to get to the next level. What would you do for love? What would you do for the love of yourself, for the love of a loved one? I bet you'd do far more to help someone you truly loved than you truly would for yourself. Because sometimes we live in a society where oh, it's very conceited and narcissistic to love yourself. And listen, I'm not saying you're looking in the mirror all the time or you're looking at your iPhone and you'll make a little movie like, "Oh, how do I look today? Is my makeup, is my beard looking excellent? Is my eyebrow looking great?" You could do that as well, there's nothing wrong with that. I'm talking about the love that you have inside for mastering your life, for stop victimizing yourself, for actually grabbing your life by the horns, so to speak, to get to a next level. How much do you love your life? How much do you love you? How much do you love the people around you?

So this tattoo from "The Crow," it reminds me of that cool movie. And it reminds me of love, the love for yourself and the love for other people out there that are meaningful in your life. So that was just another issue of our ongoing series on symbolism, how powerful your symbols are. And I would always suggest the symbols you have, whether they be tattoos on your person, whether they be bracelets, whether they be rings, whether they be notes that you carry in your pocket or, potentially, books, symbols that mean something, choose your symbols wisely. Choose symbols that empower you to get to the next level of your life. When the day isn't necessarily going the way that you want it to go, instead of feeling down and having symbols around you to disempower you, have these symbols that in those moments you look at that symbol, you feel that symbol, and it empowers you, lifts you up to the next level to continue to go through whatever you need to go through to get to that thing that you really want without being brokenhearted or without running away, but actually running into that fire.

So, choose your symbols wisely and make sure they're there to empower you. And also, choose your tattoos wisely as well because they're kind of hard to get off once they're on your skin.
